Who We Are and What We Do

America's Center for Foreign Investment (ACFI) was established on June 5, 2006.  Since then, it obtained official designation as a regional center from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on June 11, 2007, expanded from Alabama into Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee in 2009, and obtained approval from USCIS for 16 different industries and economic clusters in 2011.

ACFI is an EB-5 compliance consulting services company, the first such company approved by USCIS as a regional center.  Investment projects are created by outside developers for foreign investors.  ACFI does not represent EB-5 project developers, nor does it represent or work for foreign investors.  ACFI does not develop its own EB-5 investment projects.

So what does ACFI do?  It serves as a federally designated regional center, discharges its duties and obligations under that designation, and works with investment project developers toward EB-5 compliance.

To accomplish the latter, ACFI has reviewed hundreds of business plans and has spent countless hours in discussions with prospective investment project developers.  We work on a tiny percentage of these proposals and focus on affiliating our regional center with project developers who are in growth industries.  We think this is a wise focus while we are experiencing a soft and slow-growing U.S. economy.  For example, we like the assisted living service industry and manufacturers of hurricane-, tornado-, seismic-, and fire-resistant modular homes.

Our goal is to help all of the foreign investors in our affiliated projects a permanent green card and return of their capital investment amount and to help our project developers create good jobs.  Anything less is not good enough.

If you are a project developer within ACFI's geographic area, which encompasses five states -- Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee -- you will find us very approachable and easy to work with.  If you are an immigration lawyer, you will find that our regional center is transparent and that we will give you any information you need short of taking the risk of violating someone's privacy.

What Sets ACFI Apart

1. ACFI was the 17th regional center designated by USCIS.

2. ACFI was the first regional center to be established as an EB-5 compliance consulting services company for the purpose of hosting EB-5 projects.

3. ACFI does not host a project that provides a service or manufacturers a product that people do not absolutely need.

4. ACFI does not host large, "too big to succeed" projects.

5. ACFI does not host real estate projects.

6. ACFI hosts projects in which a certain percentage of the capital invested comes from EB-5 investors, normally no more than 60 percent.

7. ACFI requires its project developers to build a website for their project that provides a secure portal where investors may virtually visit their investment 24/7.

8. ACFI requires its project developers to provide at least four ways to return EB-5 investors' capital at the conclusion of five years.

9. ACFI is a southeastern United States regional center, which covers all of Alabama and Tennessee, and large areas of Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.

10. ACFI strives to be the most transparent and cooperative regional center in the United States and is open and honest about its procedures and records.
